5 teams who may call the Cleveland Browns about David Njoku

Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have a new regime in place, creating some uncertainty about how they will choose to use their personnel. They are looking to go with younger personnel compared to their veteran-laden rosters recently, but they are not in full rebuild mode.
New Panthers head coach Matt Rhule hired Joe Brady away from LSU to be his offensive coordinator, which has created some excitement about Carolina’s offense. The Panthers have one of the best offensive weapons in the NFL with Christian McCaffrey, but certainly need some help at tight end.
The Panthers allowed Greg Olsen to depart this offseason and did not make any moves to attempt to replace the veteran tight end. Instead, they will be relying on Ian Thomas to shoulder most of the load as the No. 1 tight end, which could be too big of a jump for Thomas. Last season, Thomas caught only 16 receptions for 136 yards and one touchdown.
Brady utilized his No. 1 tight end in his prolific offense at LSU last season. Thaddeus Moss had the fourth most receiving yards at LSU last season, catching 47 receptions for 570 yards and four touchdowns.
With Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, Carolina is not going to have a vertical offense considering Bridgewater is not known for having the strongest arm. Therefore, Njoku could fit well into Carolina’s offense, which could resemble a West Coast offense with the tight end being a valuable receiver in the short and intermediate areas of the field.
Carolina could decide they would like to lighten the load off McCaffrey and add another weapon to their offense. With a lack of proven production at tight end, Njoku could emerge as a solid pickup for the Panthers.
