5 teams who may call the Cleveland Browns about David Njoku

Washington
Washington will be an interesting destination for Njoku considering their young offense. With second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins likely getting the starting reigns from the start of the season, it could prove to be an up-and-down season for Washington’s offense.
With new head coach Ron Rivera in the fold, Washington will likely be taking a different approach to their offense. Coming from Carolina who had a go-to tight end with Greg Olsen, Rivera may want to build an offense with that potential in Washington.
With the retirement of Vernon Davis this offseason, Washington will have a new starting tight end in 2020. Rivera said they did pursue Austin Hooper this offseason, but were not willing to meet his contract demands. Instead of signing one of the top tight ends in free agency, Washington decided to add two mid-tier free agent tight ends with Logan Thomas and Richard Rodgers, as well as drafting Thaddeus Moss.
However, there remains a lot of questions at tight end for Washington, and it could be lacking in the middle of the field in 2020. Adding Njoku would give Washington a young tight end who still has the potential of growing into being a reliable pass catching tight end. It could also help Haskins grow as a quarterback by giving him an explosive target in the middle of the field.
