Arizona Cardinals Trade

In this deal, the Cardinals and the Browns make a swap of former 2017 first-round draft picks. There’s no way around it, linebacker Haason Reddick has been a bust for the Arizona Cardinals. He’s currently projected as a backup linebacker and not nearly worth the pick used on him.

If you haven’t noticed already, the Browns should use Njoku to acquire a linebacker. Reddick plays a position of need for the Browns and it doesn’t hurt to kick the tires on his career and see if Joe Woods can turn him around.

In this deal, the Browns acquire Reddick and a 2021 4th round pick in exchange for David Njoku, which is pretty spot on around Jeremy Fowler’s projection of Njoku’s worth. Njoku would give Kyler Murray yet another explosive weapon. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if the team got him a tight end like Njoku, considering Maxx Williams is currently the best tight end on their roster.

This trade is pretty simple, not that flashy. Cardinals get to fill a hole in their offense, and the Browns get draft capital along with a former first-round pick to see if they can revive his career.

There’s a reason Reddick was taken in the first round. Who knows, maybe in a new scheme he could thrive. Reddick was great at rushing the passer in college and the Browns could bring him in to do some creative blitzes on defense to let him do what he does best.
