Once the Cleveland Browns signed Austin Hooper, it meant David Njoku‘s time as the No. 1tight end was coming to a close. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t be starting though.

That’s because new head coach Kevin Stefanski loves the two tight end set and his fondness for getting the big guys involved in the offense got us a little excited to see what he could do with Hooper and Njoku.

Then things seemed to get more crowded when Harrison Bryant was drafted and Njoku apparently decided that was his cue to try and head out. He ended up hiring Drew Rosenhaus and promptly requested a trade.

So far, the Browns have not been shopping the 2017 first-round pick and now reports say they have no intention of trading him at all — although a huge offer could always change the team’s mind.

That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Cleveland reportedly has no plans to trade David Njoku: Here’s what it would cost to complete a deal ‚— Josh Edwards, CBS Sports

"“NFL reporter Josina Anderson claims that the Browns have plans for Njoku and still believe that he can have a great year for them. It sounds as though they have no intention of trading him but the tight end remains adamant in seeking employment elsewhere.”"

Cleveland did pick up the fifth-year option on Njoku’s rookie deal which keeps him under contract with the Browns for two more seasons. That alone makes him a valuable asset so it will take a great deal to get them to move.

Quarterbacks are often excellent at other sports since competing under pressure is in their nature and golf is a pressure-packed sport since one mistake can ruin hours (and sometimes days) worth of work. Keenum did excellent in this tournament as he showed off his skills off the football field.

Browns have the most cap space remaining — Field Yates

General manager Andrew Berry has done a great job adding talent without crippling the team’s cap situation. They could make a splash still if they want, but they might also be done spending — other than maybe some extensions for players such as Myles Garrett.
