These Cleveland Browns could make their first Pro Bowl in 2020

The Cleveland Browns have the same goal as every team in the NFL for 2020, and that is winning a Super Bowl. While you never want to set expectations low, the reality is a playoff birth and a first-round win for the Browns in 2020 would be an enormous step for the franchise. Browns fans have watched the team in agony most of the time since the teams return in 1999.

While winning a Super Bowl is the team goal, there is no shame in players having individual goals either. For younger players, it may be starting a full 16 game slate, and for others, it is all about being voted to the pro-bowl or all-pro roster. Since the return of the team in 1999, the Browns have only had four all-pro nominations, with only Joe Thomas earning multiple honors.

While there has been more success with pro-bowl appearances by Browns players recently, it has still been limited because of the lack of winning. The simple math for the NFL is the more wins, the more pro-bowl and all-pro honors your team will receive. Sure the politics of the game is frustrating, but it appears to be something that isn’t changing sp we must live with it.

With an improved roster and completely overhauled coaching staff, is this the year that the Browns finally break the bubble? Fans are hopeful, but success could be even more difficult in 2020 with a shortened offseason. All teams will face the same challenges from COVID-19, but with many new faces in the Browns locker room, the club could face more issues than other teams.

If Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski are finally able to bring success to Cleveland, you could see previously unappreciated players finally get some love and recognition. There will be many familiar faces who receive pro-bowl honors, however, look for these three players to get their first nod in 2020.
