Cleveland Browns fan hints that he earned a workout, how Jarvis Courtney got their attention

Jarvis Courtney might have finally gotten the Cleveland Browns attention
Persistence is a wonderful trait to have and it often pays off. That could be the case of Jarvis Courtney, an Arena League offensive lineman who has been trying to get the attention of the Cleveland Browns for quite some time now.
Courtney has reached out several times via twitter trying to get the Browns to give him just “one shot,” saying that’s all he needs to prove he belongs. And if his timeline is any indication, he might have gotten that chance.
The 26-year-old lineman says he’s heading to Cleveland this week and that it’s “been a long time coming.”

Courtney’s tale is a great one as he is a serious underdog, and he opened up to Camryn Justice of News Cleveland 5 about how he got to where he is. Following his high school football career, Courtney stayed home to help his mother with his brothers and sisters. He then tried to return to college at the age of 23 but was told he was too old.
He continued to have a desire to play football which led him to the indoor leagues but he continues to fight for a shot at the NFL since he promised his grandmother he would one day play in the league.
While he has said he would play for any team, the Browns have been the one he has had his eye on. He says he wants to get on the field and do everything he can to keep defenders off Baker Mayfield, the Browns star quarterback.
Cleveland fans love an underdog story, as we saw with Devon Cajuste and Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi in recent years. Courtney could be the next player fans get behind as he fights for a shot in the NFL.
It won’t be easy, but we at DPD are wishing Jarvis Courtney the absolute best as he looks to make the most out of his apparent chance that he has hinted at.
