The Cleveland Browns add help on both lines of scrimmage in mock draft

It was hard to find much to complain about when it came to the Cleveland Browns 2020 NFL Draft. First-year general manager Andrew Berry made some great choices as he landed players who will contribute early such as Alabama offensive lineman Jedrick Wills, LSU safety Gant Delpit, Missouri defensive tackle Jordan Elliott, and LSU linebacker Jacob Phillips.

In fact, Berry’s entire offseason was given high praise as he filled out the roster with players such as tight end Austin Hooper who he signed away from the Atlanta Falcons and offensive tackle Jack Conklin who leaves the Tennessee Titans following a career-year.

All those moves have us excited about their prospects in 2020, but we should be hopeful for the future as well since Berry is only just getting started in his new position.

With his limited time on the job, he already addressed their biggest holes and locked up their biggest star. Defensive end Myles Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in 2017, was just given a five-year extension worth a whopping $125 million. The smart thing about this for Berry and the Browns is that he beat many other general managers who have to extend their star pass rushers, meaning Garrett’s deal won’t seem too high-priced for very long at all — another reason to be optimistic about 2020 and beyond with the Andrew Berry-led Cleveland Browns.

And even with us being excited about what this season holds, we can look ahead to 2021 still and predict what will happen next for the Browns. That’s is exactly what we do here with this 2021 NFL Mock Draft — training camp edition.
