3 Linebackers Cleveland Browns can trade for after Mack Wilson injury

The Cleveland Browns need depth at LB after Mack Wilson’s injury
The Cleveland Browns find themselves in a tough situation after Mack Wilson was carted off the field during practice on Tuesday. This came one day after he was involved in a play that sent Nick Chubb to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion.
There has been no word on the injury for Wilson yet, but whenever somebody goes down the way he did — without contact — there’s always fear that it’s going to be something significant. That’s terrible news for the Browns, who are already lacking depth at the position.
Wilson was a fifth-round pick last season out of Alabama and he ended up starting 14 of 16 played games for the Browns. He was called upon once Christian Kirksey was lost for the season and finished with 57 solo tackles with 82 combined. He also had seven pass defenses and a forced fumble as well as one quarterback sack. Still, there was a lot that needed to be worked on his game as he took some poor angles and left some players on the field.
With criticism coming from every angle, Wilson recently spoke out about how he wanted to prove that he and the rest of the Cleveland linebackers could get the job done. Unfortunately with him out there death is really suspect as B.J. Goodson, Sione Takitaki, and Jacob Phillips are the top remaining linebackers.
With that being the case, the Browns could very well look outside of the organization in order to find somebody to replace Wilson. They can do that via free agency or by trying to make a trade with somebody who has some depth at the position. Here we focus on the trading block and look at the three most likely outside replacements targets for Wilson in 2020.
