Jarvis Landry and Karl Joseph practicing for Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns took a chance on Karl Joseph this offseason as they signed the former Oakland Raiders safety following a season that ended with him needing surgery to repair a foot injury he suffered.

So far, he has yet to be at 100 percent but things are looking up as he’s in pads on Tuesday after sitting out the day prior. And according to Mary Kay Cabot, he’s not the only player who will be hitting the field after taking Monday off.

The Cleveland.com reporter also said Jarvis Landry will be out there in pads as he too takes his time to get back to full speed as he recovers from surgery.

Landry was hampered by a hip injury throughout the 2019 season but that didn’t stop him from recording 1,174 yards and six touchdowns on 83 receptions. It was the best performance he had as a Brown and he was the team leader in every category.

As for Joseph, he’s a hard-hitting strong safety from West Virginia but he never seemed to get on Jon Gruden’s good side in Oakland. He did start to come around in 2019 before being injured but by then, the Raiders were prepared to move on.

That was good news for the Browns as they gave him a soft landing spot with a team in need of a new strong safety. As it stands now, he’s set to start alongside rookie Grant Delpit out of LSU.

Cabot’s other notes included Myles Garrett still sitting out with a hamstring issue as well as Damion Ratley still dealing with a groin injury. Nick Chubb was added to the list as he entered the concussion protocol after being tackled high on Monday.
