Day 5 is in the books for Cleveland Browns camp

The Cleveland Browns had their fifth practice on Wednesday and for the third day in a row, all eyes were on a player who was leaving the field.

On Monday, it was Nick Chubb who was tackled up high by linebacker Mack Wilson. Chubb was taken off the field immediately after and has been placed int he concussion protocol.

Ironically, Wilson was the next player to drop in practice as the second-year linebacker went down on Tuesday when attempting to make a tackle and immediately clutched his knee. It was later revealed Wilson hyperextended his knee, and the duration of his time out has yet to be declared.

On Wednesday, things were fine until wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. left practice early and had a member of the staff with him. Thankfully, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com confirmed later that Beckham was fine and the team did not put him on any injury report.

With that sigh of relief, we are able to turn our attention to the field where once again, the Browns had a good day of practice. There was also some media availability which included some fun with Case Keenum.

The backup quarterback spoke on several issues including Baker Mayfield‘s arm — saying it is in stronger in person and called him “impressive.”

He also spoke about head coach Kevin Stefanski, saying he hasn’t changed much since their Minnesota days — other than getting some more grey in his beard.

"”I don’t want to see a guy change much, from position coach to head coach,” Keenum joked. “He says he’s got a lot more gray in his beard. I’m trying to catch him, but he’s got a lot more salt and pepper in his beard these days.” — Keenum via Tony Zarrella, Cleveland 19"

And with all that said, we look to the field and check out the three things that stood out most from Wednesday’s practice.
