Cleveland Browns CB Kevin Johnson was at practice Tuesday
This season it seems that the injury bug has been targeting the Cleveland Browns more than any other franchise in the NFL.
Cornerback Kevin Johnson has suffered a lacerated liver this training camp, which is a pretty rare injury.
While many thought this could hold him out for a while, he is already starting to do a little bit of work at practice.

It’s a good sign that Kevin Johnson is already doing a little bit of work, even if it is this minor. The Browns secondary has been decimated this training camp.
Grant Delpit is done for the season, Kevin Johnson is going to at least miss a significant chunk of training camp and possibly the season, plus a few more smaller injuries like the ones reported below.
No CB Greedy Williams (shoulder) or CB Terrance Mitchell (knee) outside at practice today. Don’t see CB MJ Stewart (hamstring) either.

The sooner the Cleveland Browns can get Kevin Johnson back on the field the better, as he is going to be relied upon heavily this upcoming season. Although he only has 19 starts in his five-season career, the veteran is going to be a crucial part of the Browns’ defensive backfield. The nickel corner position seems to be his to lose.
With Johnson’s size, standing at a listed six foot and 185 pounds, he could find himself playing all over the secondary. Of those healthy defensive backs left on the Cleveland Browns roster, many, like Karl Joseph and Andrew Sendejo, have a history of not being able to play full 16 game seasons.
Considering all of the injury news that has been coming out of the Cleveland Browns’ training camp so far, it’s just nice to hear about one of those guys finally getting back to some type of training.
