3 players the Cleveland Browns could trade before Week 1

The Cleveland Browns aren’t a team with a wealth of depth at every position, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some players that aren’t expendable. As Week 1 of the 2020 NFL Season quickly approaches, and teams try to make decisions on who they intend to keep or move on from as the roster size continues to get smaller, it’s important for teams to be on the prowl for potential trade targets.

NFL franchises always have players that won’t garner much attention on the trade market, so cutting them is the only option. There are always a few, however, that deserve to be shopped around before just releasing them — and getting nothing in return for their services.

The Cleveland Browns are no different, and shouldn’t be afraid to put a few players that are fringe cuts or backup players to see what they could get for them in return. Whether it be a little bit of future draft capital or a player that can provide depth at a position with more need, the potential to improve your team is not something to thumb your nose at.

We saw this over the past couple of seasons, like when Emmanuel Ogbah was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs for Eric Murray. Ogbah suddenly was on the bench behind Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon and so he was flipped for a safety that ended up coming in handy.

With all that being said, here are three players the Cleveland Browns could consider trading before the start of the NFL season.
