Cleveland Browns: 3 players whose stock dropped at Training Camp
By Randy Gurzi
Which Cleveland Browns saw their stock drop during training camp?
The start of the 2020 NFL Season is right around the corner for the Cleveland Browns. They’ve recently wrapped things up for their training camp and are now focused on preparing for the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.
That game will take place on Sept. 13 and there’s still a lot of work to do for head coach Kevin Stefanski and first-year general manager Andrew Berry. They will work with the rest of their front office to trim the roster down from 80 players to 53 — although a new rule this season will also allow them to carry two practice squad players into the week as well.
Still, there are a lot of cuts to make and they don’t have the luxury of four preseason games to help them make the decisions. Instead, everything hinges on what happened during the team’s camp. And as we all got to see, there was a lot that went on.
Cleveland broadcasted a lot of their training camp as Nathan Zegura and Josh Cribbs brought us the action day after day. We were able to get our first glimpse at some of the new faces such as rookie Jedrick Wills and free-agent addition Austin Hooper. We also got to see a rejuvenated — and finally fully healthy — Odell Beckham. Jr.
And with all those practices behind us, we can now look back over what happened and see how certain players performed. We’ve already done this as we selected three players who had their stock increase in training camp. Now, we are looking at who saw their stock head in the wrong direction, starting with a wide receiver who could be in danger of missing the cut.
