Cleveland Browns fleece Jaguars, acquire young safety in trade

The Cleveland Browns acquired safety Ronnie Harrison
As the Jaguars continue prepping their roster for the first tank of the 2020s, they have now traded safety Ronnie Harrison to the Cleveland Browns.
It was just another in a long-line of tanking moves by Jacksonville and this time, it led to the Browns getting a steal.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Cleveland Browns have sent a 2021 5th round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for Ronnie Harrison.
It is unclear yet whether the 5th round pick in 2021 that is being sent to the Jacksonville Jaguars will be the Cleveland Browns’ 5th round draft pick, or if it will be the Los Angeles Rams’ 5th round draft pick.
This move works for both teams as the Cleveland Browns desperately needed another safety after losing 2020 2nd round pick Grant Delpit to injury for the season. The Jaguars gain another draft pick as they look forward to 2021 and get to see what else they have at safety.
Harrison is only 23 years old this season and already has had a pretty successful NFL career. He has started 22 out of the 28 games played in his career so far, totaling up three interceptions and 12 pass defenses — with two of those interceptions, and nine of those pass defenses coming last season. He also had two sacks last year, along with 71 tackles. Needless to say, he is a productive player.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 215-pounds, he has great size to play a box safety or a nickel role in Joe Woods’ defense this year. It seems like the Browns will be running out of a 4-2-5 base for this upcoming season, and this trade bodes perfectly for that assumption.
In terms of draft capital, Cleveland still has plenty of draft picks for the upcoming season. They should have a total of 11 picks now.
One first-round pick, one second-round pick, two third-round picks (one from the Saints), two fourth-round picks (one from the Eagles), one fifth-round pick, one sixth-round pick, and three seventh-round picks (one still pending on conditions) according to prosportstransactions.com.
But most importantly, they found someone to replace Grant Delpit, and they did so without sacrificing much at all.
