5 Bold predictions as the Cleveland Browns prepare for a trip to Baltimore

It’s finally here. The 2020 NFL Season is beginning this weekend and the Cleveland Browns are kicking things off against the hated Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

This won’t be a normal opening weekend as the Browns and Ravens will be playing in front of no fans as the COVID-19 pandemic has forced Baltimore to operate out of an abundance of caution. While we will still be able to enjoy the action, the empty stands will be a stark reminder of how we weren’t even guaranteed to have football at all in 2020.

With the nation trying to figure out how to best navigate the problem facing us, the NFL elected to cancel all offseason programs and the preseason — and they even held the draft virtually, which was pretty cool if we are being honest. What this meant for the Browns was that new head coach Kevin Stefanski had to work with his players through virtual meetings as he and his coaching staff attempted to teach them a whole new system.

They also had to try and get their rookies up to speed this way due to the absence of rookie mini-camps. No player will be more affected by this than No. 10 overall pick Jedrick Wills, who is not only making the jump to the NFL but moving from the right side of the offensive line to the left.

Thankfully, they did end up having training camp which helped them get everyone up to speed — even if there were a few bumps in the road as well as more injuries than normal. With all that behind us now, we turn our attention to Week 1 and offer up five bold predictions as the Cleveland Browns face off with the Baltimore Ravens.
