No 2. Andrew Sendejo

A guy who I don’t think many were expecting to struggle as much as he did was veteran safety Andrew Sendejo. Where do we start?

Yes, Sendejo was playing in a new system on defense. That said, it was almost like Sendejo was never on the field in yesterday’s game. In the miserable fake punt that the Browns tried yesterday on their own side of the field, if Sendejo would have just picked up his block which is his one and only priority on a fake punt, Jamie Gillan could have pickled up the first down and perhaps much more.

When it comes to being a safety, you would think that your highest grade would come in coverage, right? Sendejo had an overall grade of 30.9 yesterday, and his worst grade came in coverage, coming in at 37.8.

With rookie safety Grant Delpit being out for the season after his torn Achilles, we knew that they would need a ton of help in the secondary. While we thought that Sendejo could be the help we needed, I guess we are going to have to wait another week to see if he will be any help to the secondary at all.

The good news is, they do have Ronnie Harrison now but they need him to get up to speed as soon as possible.
