The Cleveland Browns have yet another concerning injury report

As hard it was, everyone wanted to immediately forget Sunday’s blowout week one loss to the Ravens and shift the focus to the Thursday night matchup with the Bengals. As the Cleveland Browns enter this prime-time game, they look to go undefeated on Thursday night football for the third year in a row, all while hoping to regain more life after a flat out disappointing week one game.

Heading into this game, the Bengals will be without a few defensive tackles, as Geno Atkins and Mike Daniels are both out for Thursday night. What does that mean for the Browns? Run the ball. There is no reason Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt both can’t have field days on the ground Thursday night.

As for the Browns, their injury list seems to be a bit on the heavy side of things. A few surprises to the injury list, as Jack Conklin and Jarvis Landry have both been added.

Conklin seemed to be shaken up on a few plays late in the game against the Ravens, and Landry is still in the process of recovering from offseason hip surgery. As the Browns look to get to 1-1 on the young season, they hope most of their question mark guys can get on the field for Thursday night — injury report courtesy of ClevelandBrowns.com.

Questionable:

Jack Conklin, OT, ankle/finger
Chris Hubbard, OT, ankle
JC Tretter, C, knee
Jarvis Landry, WR, hip
Olivier Vernon, DE, abdomen

Jedrick Wills, OT, shin

Out:

Kevin Johnson, CB, liver
Jacob Phillips, LB, knee
Greedy Williams, CB, shoulder
Mack Wilson, LB, knee

As the Browns continue to be thin at cornerback and linebacker, look for these second and third string guys to step up, something they did not do a good job of on Sunday.

In order for the Browns to come out on top, they need contributions up and down the board. If they look like a team and a collective unit, they should be just fine against Joe Burrow and company.
