Bold predictions as the Cleveland Browns face Washington

The Cleveland Browns have been a real-life roller coaster for the first two weeks of the NFL season. After getting demolished by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 by a score of 38-6, Kevin Stefanski rallied the troops for a Thursday Night victory vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.

While the Browns are back to 1-1 with plenty of season left, there is still some concern about if this defense is going to ever force a three and out. Through two weeks both opposing quarterbacks have had a field day through the air. This includes a rookie quarterback in only his second start in the NFL with no offseason or preseason in Joe Burrow.

Cleveland still has some work to accomplish during their extended week before facing the Washington Football team, fans are just happy to have a win. While Thursday Night games are tough for everyone, it was nice having a short break after the disastrous start in Baltimore.

Not only will Stefanski and staff have an extra 3 days to prepare for Washington, but the team also has three more days to get healthy. Starters Jack Conklin (RT), Jacob Phillips (LB), Mack Wilson (LB), Greedy Williams (DB), Kevin Johnson (DB), and Olivier Vernon (DL) all missed Thursday’s game. So, while Joe Wood’s defense has been shredded through two weeks, he has been extremely short-handed.

While fans and players are thrilled with the win, it is extremely important to keep focus and worry about winning one game at a time. Let’s dig in with five bold predictions for the Browns in Week 3 against Washington, in a very winnable game.
