Game: Washington Football Team (1-1) at Cleveland Browns (1-1)

At last, the Cleveland Browns look to start the new season 2-1 for the first time in a while. Last week, they got it done against Cincinnati, improving in the areas that they needed to while still having tons of work to do. If the Browns want to win on Sunday, they’re going to need to keep improving in those areas, along with adding a bit more production.

The offense line is going to have to continue to hold its own like it has in the first two games. Jedrick Wills will be lined up against rookie sensation Chase Young, who is off to a very solid rookie campaign. The front four for the Football Team are all former first round picks, making this a heavy task for the Browns to handle.

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will have to continue to impress, as some are saying to hold the hype on him just yet because “it was just Cincinnati.” As for the defense, the return of our secondary is here, as Greedy Williams and Kevin Johnson both look to add much needed help to a depleted secondary. Cornerback Denzel Ward will look to continue to have a solid year as he has been on lockdown all season so far. The linebackers will look to step up and be re-energized in the return of their best linebacker Mack Wilson from his knee injury.

If the Browns can simply run the ball and open up the game through the air with the play action, I am confident that they can beat anyone. While it may seem like beating a dead horse, it is the utter truth and it’s something they need to ride all season long in order to be successful.

Prediction: Cleveland 33, Washington 16
