The Cleveland Browns need these players to step up on Sunday

In pursuit of a winning record for the first time since the 2014 season, the Cleveland Browns will now take on the Washington Football Team in their Week 3. After picking up their first win of the season last Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Browns will look to carry that momentum as they welcome former Ohio State Heisman Trophy finalists Dwayne Haskins and Chase Young into First Energy Stadium.

A week ago, the Browns’ offense was firing on all cylinders, racking up 35 points, over 230 yards between their running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, and with Baker Mayfield finding a rhythm as he completed nearly 70 percent of his passes with 219 yards and two touchdowns passing. The defensive side of the ball, however, is a different story; it may not get much better this week as key players like Greedy Williams and Olivier Vernon are still out, and even Denzel Ward has been added to the injury list.

However, if there is one week for these defensive injuries to pile up, it is this week as Haskins is among the least efficient quarterbacks in the NFL. In addition, Washington is going to be without their Pro Bowl guard Brandon Scherff, and potentially starting right tackle Morgan Moses as well.

As the Washington Football Team comes to town, who are three players or position groups that must step up if the Browns want to advance to a 2-1 record on their young 2020 season?
