What three players will help decide the Cowboys fate vs. Cleveland Browns?

There probably weren’t too many people outside of northeast Ohio who would’ve picked the Cleveland Browns to have a better record than the Dallas Cowboys going to their week four matchup, yet here we are.

Cleveland is coming off a good performance against a bad football team (pun intended) and sporting their first winning record since 2014. Meanwhile, Dallas lost a shootout last week to the Seattle Seahawks and if they don’t get a perfect onside kick two weeks ago they would be 0-3.

They have the best offense in the NFL in terms of yards but their problem is they have the 30th ranked scoring defense. They lost Leighton Vander Esch to injury reserve, Byron Jones left in the offseason and their big-money signings Jaylen Smith and Demarcus Lawerence have underperformed.

Their interior defensive line and secondary have struggled. They have a rash of injuries so they aren’t very deep so the only real solution is for their players to play better. That’s easier said than especially with a talented offense like the Browns coming to town.

The combination of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt has been the key to the Cleveland offense. This could be the week the passing game gets going.

These two teams are trending in different directions and a poor performance by the Cowboys could send their season into a tail spin and may even put new head coach Mike McCarthy on the hot seat. He will big games from these three players.
