Cleveland Browns studs and duds from huge Week 4 win
By Randy Gurzi
Who stood out in the Cleveland Browns third win?
There were plenty of us skeptical about the Cleveland Browns chances in Week 4 as they headed to AT&T Stadium to face the Dallas Cowboys. After the way they showed out, no one should ever doubt them again.
We have heard it time and again that the ‘Browns are still the Browns’ but they proved on Sunday that wasn’t the case. They went into Jerry-World and despite playing one of the more powerful offenses in the NFL, they were the ones who brought the fireworks.
Cleveland’s offense was electric and their defense forced three turnovers as Joe Woods’ bend but don’t break unit has continued to find ways to get the ball back for the offense. And in the end, it led to a 49-38 win, which was only that close thanks to a late surge from the Dallas offense.
Now, we look back over the third win of the season and pick the studs and duds for your 3-1 Cleveland Browns.
Honorable mention stud: Jacob Phillips, Linebacker
With a 38-14 lead in the third quarter, the Cowboys were trying to march down the field and get back into the game. And they were making some progress until Jacob Phillips decided to take that drive over. He rushed Prescott and forced an incomplete pass that brought up a second down.
He then forced them into a fourth-down and three when he tackled tight end Dalton Schultz in the open field. As if that wasn’t enough, Phillips then read the pass play correctly on the fourth-down try and broke up the pass intended for CeeDee Lamb.
