5. Garrett goes for a turkey

I sure hope the fans at home are keeping score because the last two weeks the prediction has been that Myles Garrett will explode for multiple sacks, and both weeks it has happened. Not to mention back to back games with a strip-sack that each led to a Brown’s touchdown.

Truthfully, Kellen Moore, the Cowboys offensive coordinator should be given credit for one. The Cowboys send out undrafted rookie Terence Steele to block the best pass rusher in the league with very little help.  It wasn’t until the second half that Ezekiel Elliot chipped Garrett almost every single play.

Garrett was terrorizing Dak Prescott for the entire first half but unfortunately did quiet down some in the second half with a lot of double teams. I thought Garrett could have really made a stand for Defensive Player of the Year with a third sack in the fourth quarter, but the entire defensive line was often tired from such a fast pace.

2018 second-round pick Braden Smith will have his hands full for the Colts this week, but the big question will be how much help they will give him. The Colts will try and not help early, and Garrett will do damage once again. I can’t call the third game in a row with a strip-sack…can I? While it may happen, I’ll leave it at another dominating performance by Garrett with multiple sacks and even more additional pressures that won’t show up on the stat line.
