5 Bold predictions for Cleveland Browns in Week 5 vs. the Indianapolis Colts
By Greg Newland
1. Looking 4-1 down the barrel
Most aren’t ready to put the Browns in the Super Bowl, but man three victories in a row feels good as a fan. Not only that, it feels like the team has a shot to win every week. Yeah, they may not be favored, but a strong run game and a few turnovers and this team can make a game with anyone. Things can always go south, but remember, it took Hue Jackson 40 games to get three wins, while it took Stefanski just four.
Unfortunately for the Browns, the AFC North is looking like the toughest division in football. Both the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers look like Super Bowl contenders and don’t pencil a win just yet for the second game in Cincinnati. Joe Burrow is going to be a very good quarterback in this league.
Fortunately for the Browns, this is the first year where the NFL will have an extra wild-card team in the playoffs. Just imagine being in the NFC East where 1-2-1 by the Philadelphia Eagles has you in first place.
With the Browns getting a horrible performance in week one behind them, the Colts will be their first true test of the season as they come in with a 3-1 record with a three-game win streak. The Colts, like every other team in the NFL in 2020, will come to Cleveland beat up but believing they can stop the running attack and get a win.
The Browns must continue to improve on defense and exert their will running the ball. If they do both of those things, look for the Browns to be on a four-game winning streak and heading to Pittsburgh for their biggest game in a long time.
The stadium will only have a limited amount of fans on Sunday, but the dawgs will be barking.
