How Baker Mayfield ranks among AFC North quarterbacks

Passing Yards Per Game
In terms of the Browns’ long term success, this is the scariest statistic out there. Baker’s 182.3 passing yards per game ranks dead last among starting quarterbacks in the NFL with three or more starts this season. It’s even behind Lamar Jackson, who is considered more of a threat with his legs still than with his arm.
"Joe Burrow (280.3 YPG) Ben Roethlisberger (259 YPG) Lamar Jackson (192.3 YPG) Baker Mayfield (182.3 YPG)"
The Browns have been stellar at running the ball this year, which is a part of why his passing yards per game is so low. However, the team cannot get too one dimensional, or else a good coaching staff will be able to stop the Browns offense pretty easily.
This week against the Colts is going to be a huge test for the Cleveland Browns’ offense. The Colts’ defense is allowing 3.6 yards per carry this season, which is tied for the fourth-best in the NFL. Baker is going to need to start throwing the ball at a higher volume if the Browns are going to continue to win.
Cleveland has been arguably the most one-dimensional offense this entire season. To maintain long term success, a team needs to have a balanced offense, or at least be able to have the threat of being a balanced offense. The passing attack is the biggest concern the Browns have on their offense going forward, and it will be up to Baker Mayfield to improve the team in this category.
