Number 3: Myles Garrett vs. Average OL

In recent years, mainly 2018 and 2019, the Indianapolis Colts had a very impressive offensive line. It took a few years for them to build that offensive line up to a top-five unit in the NFL, but they were able to finally do it.

This season, however, that once-dominant unit has taken a step back and become a rather average offensive line in the NFL. That’s bad news for the Colts, but very good news for the Browns, who have one of the better defensive lines in the game to this point in 2020.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Colts offensive line ranks 15th in pass-blocking and 13th in run-blocking through four weeks. Though they rank 13th in run-blocking, the Colts running backs have had issues breaking long runs, and are averaging 3.5 yards per carry, which is 32nd in the league.

With the inability to create big plays in the running game, the Colts may have to pass more then they’d like to against the Browns in this matchup. With a middle of the road offensive line going against someone like Myles Garrett, who has a 25 percent pass rush win rate.

Garrett also is tied for the NFL lead with five sacks, as well as forcing three fumbles and getting two fumble recoveries. Having been a headache for everyone he’s faced so far, you can expect this week to be no different.

Watch for Myles Garrett to go full Myles Garrett in this game and force quarterback Phillip Rivers and rookie running back Jonathan Taylor into some mistakes. A few sacks, quarterback hurries, and maybe even a forced fumble, and the Browns will win this game.
