It’s finally time to believe in the Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns have not been to the playoffs since 2002 and have not finished the season with a winning record since 2007. They are on coach number 12 since 2000, quarterback number 30 since 1999, and have tried rebuilding talent year over year with no success. The Browns have not won the division since 1989. Could this be the year that changes the narrative in Cleveland for the future?
Cleveland is off to a fast 3-1 start which they have not done since the 2001 season. For the first time since 1968, they have also scored 30 or more points in three straight contests, according to Cleveland.com. The defense leads the league in turnovers with 10, and Myles Garrett leads the league with five sacks. The team seems to be rolling and is in position to compete for the division title or a wild card playoff spot.
The Browns are coming off an impressive win against Dallas by a score of 49-38. They have two tough contests ahead as they host the Colts this Sunday and head to Pittsburgh the week after to take on the Steelers. These next two games will tell a lot about the Browns offense as the Colts and Steelers are the number one and two ranked defenses, respectively. If Cleveland holds their own in these games and comes out on top, it could be a great season for the Browns.
Why is this the year to finally believe in the Browns? This article breaks down the five biggest reasons this is the year Cleveland is the real deal.
