Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know

There were some fans in the Dawg Pound holding their breath after the Cleveland Browns fourth win of the season as Baker Mayfield had to have x-rays following a hard shot to his ribs in the final quarter of their game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Thankfully, it wasn’t long after that was reported that we heard the x-rays were negative. Still, there could be some lingering pain from the injury that caused them to get a look at the ribs and that’s why Mayfield was asked about his status in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mayfield’s response was typical Baker talk as he let us know his ‘Momma didn’t raise no wuss’. That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Baker Mayfield expects to play vs. Steelers after rib injury: ‘Momma didn’t raise no wuss’ — Jason Owens, Yahoo Sports

"“Momma didn’t raise no wuss,” Mayfield told reporters when asked about his status for next week. That presumably translates to “yes, I plan to play through my rib injury.”"

Baker Mayfield was hit hard in the fourth quarter and had to have x-rays and even though they were negative, as stated earlier, there’s still a natural concern that there could be a lingering problem. However, No. 6 says that won’t be the case as he seems ready to take on the Steelers in Week 6.

Kevin Stefanski discusses Browns’ 32-23 win against Colts in conference call: Transcript — Scott Patsko, Cleveland.com

"“On DE Myles Garrett coming up with another big play with his pressure on Colts QB Philip Rivers in the end zone that led to a safety:”“He seems to do that. He is a great player, and we need him to be a great player. He is answering the bell.”"

Myles Garrett wrecked the Colts gameplan and head coach Kevin Stefanski said as much. This was a complete team win and it’s been fun hearing the coach go back over what happened on Sundays.

Week 5 instant reaction: Playoffs? We talking about Playoffs?
