2. The ability to pound the rock

At this point, if you aren’t a fan of the Browns, they can be a boring team to watch. But as a fan, there’s nothing greater than watching the team run the ball at will vs. almost every team in the NFL. Now, this week will be the biggest test yet but being able to run vs. the Steelers will allow the Browns to go on the road and get the biggest victory of the year.

A huge win will be getting Wyatt Teller back at right guard. Chris Hubbard is a phenomenal backup and doesn’t miss a beat on pass protection. However, Teller is much better at pulling and opening holes for the running game because of his athleticism. Although the Colts defense is likely the best the Browns faced all year, a big reason the running game was slow was because of Teller’s absence.

Keep in mind though, Hubbard likely hadn’t taken a snap at guard all week. He’s the backup tackle and with injuries to Jack Conklin, there was a focus on him being prepared to step in there if needed. So, with a week of reps at guard and the coaching of Bill Callahan look for the Browns to be okay either way. With Hubbard at guard, they just can’t afford an injury anywhere else on the line.

Look for Stefanski to stretch the Steelers side to side as well as attack them right up the gut. The Browns have shown the ability to run the outside zone and pull guards on inside runs equally effective this season. Keeping the Steelers guessing will be huge and keeping the offense on the field wearing out their big men will be another huge benefit.
