Pick Analysis. WR. Florida State. TamorrionTerry. 5. player. Scouting Report. 804

Florida State receiver Tamorrion Terry stands 6-4 and 210 pounds with very good speed and agility. He has a massive catch radius and has shown good route running skills, albeit on a limited tree. He needs to add strength in order to better deal with press coverage and physical DBs, but his potential is off the charts.

player. CB. Michigan. AmbryThomas. 6. 811. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Ambry Thomas is a skilled press-man corner with good long speed. He’s listed at 6-0, 182 pounds, so he needs to add some mass if he’s to play in the NFL. If that happens, he should become a core special teamer who can provide good depth on the outside.

Virginia. JoeyBlount. 7. Scouting Report. S. player. 888. Pick Analysis

Joey Blount is the fourth DB taken in this mock, and for good reason. He’d provide a good deal of versatility, as he’s lined up at deep safety, in the box, and in the slot for the Cavaliers. The Browns are officially a good team (just how good remains to be seen), so there is no guarantee that a late pick makes the roster. Blount’s ability to do multiple different things will only help him.

Safety depth rises to the challenge against Colts. dark. Next

This draft was intended to add some talented depth to the offense while attempting to completely rebuild the defense. It won’t fix everything, but it will go a long way towards making the defense at least NFL average. If that happens, and the offense continues playing at a truly elite level, look out.
