If Cleveland Browns can pull off the win against the Steelers, they’re back

The 2020 Cleveland Browns compete in one of, if not the best division in football in the AFC North, they sit at 4-1 and are still in third place. Depending on the result of Sunday’s game, their standings could change, and more.

After getting destroyed in Baltimore in Week 1, the narrative for the Browns remained the same. The “same old Browns” talk was still getting thrown around, despite knowing going into that game that the Ravens are legit contenders, and the Browns were entering their first game under new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Cleveland has won four straight since, as they now sit at 4-1. After beating the Bengals, the Football Team, and the Cowboys, the excuses by reports and media worldwide remained at large.

Saying things like “Joe Burrow is a rookie” and “Washington is still far from competing” and “Dallas has one of the leagues worst defenses” were all popular excuses and reasons to still believe the Browns could still be frauds.

Enter the Colts. The supposed No. 1 ranked defense could not slow the powerhouse offense of the Browns down, as they still put up 32 points, despite Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield throwing two interceptions.

While yes, the Browns did get some more respect after beating the Colts, the negativity and excuses have still been swirling all week long. If you don’t want to buy in just yet because of their history and their proven track record for losing in recent history, fine. That said, the bandwagon tickets are sold out. If they win Sunday, all negativity must vanish.

Don’t get me wrong, the Steelers are good. But, with their opponents so far this season totaling a record of 3-15-1, they may not be as good as they seem. Either way, the Browns will still have a very tall task. What does their injury report look like? Brutal.

While Mayfield, Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry will all play, that doesn’t mean they aren’t banged up. The Browns are also without their top two safeties and top lineman Sunday with both Ronnie Harrison and Karl Joseph confirmed out, to go along with Teller. Of course, the Browns will enter their biggest game in a while with such a hefty list of injuries.

I personally do not think the incident last year with Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph will get much run, unless the game is a blowout. If it is a blowout, we could see a cheap shot here or there, unfortunately. Again, if the Browns beat the Steelers, they are legit. They have already beat two decent teams in the Cowboys and the Colts.

Next. 3 Bold Baker Mayfield predictions. dark

Beating the Steelers in Pittsburgh would just be the icing on the cake to help prove the point Browns fans have been trying to get across all season long; we are here, we are legit, and we are back.
