2. Aaron Rodgers

Is Aaron Rodgers currently 37 years old? Yes. Would he still be worth the investment of a first round pick in a trade? Absolutely. Using Tom Brady as an example, there is reason to believe Rodgers has six good years of football left, and after drafting Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers may be willing to part sooner rather than later.

Not only could the Packers be looking to get Love on the field, but Rodgers is already schooled in a Kubiak style offense as well. Head coach Matt LaFleur is a wide zone believer and a disciple of Gary Kubiak, just as Stefanski; in his second season with the Packers, he has Rodgers familiarized with this system as well.

Is it a longshot to land Rodgers? Absolutely. However there are a few stars aligned that could connect Rodgers to Cleveland, and his ability to not miss a beat, combined with Stefanski’s freedom to let the offense rip would make for a match made in heaven. For now, however, Stefanski is tasked with reigning Mayfield in and handicapping the offense until the former first overall pick proves he can ride the bike without training wheels.
