Odell Beckham Jr. may have played his last snap with the Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are off to the best start they have experienced in quite a while as rookie head coach Kevin Stefanski has them off to a 5-2 record. All news has not been good news, however, for the Browns as they have lost their top wide receiver in Odell Beckham Jr. for the rest of the season as he suffered a torn ACL on the second play of the game in yesterday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The depth at the wide receiver position, while it is thin, stepped up big time as quarterback Baker Mayfield played the best game of his career. Rashard Higgins led the team in receiving with over 100 yards, while rookie and sixth round pick Donovan Peoples-Jones hauled in a miraculous touchdown grab with 11 second left in the game.

However long term, the Browns will need to add another valuable piece to the puzzle, and one with an early draft pick may be necessary, especially if Beckham Jr. has played his last game as a Cleveland Brown. This is more of a possibility than some may imagine as his era in Cleveland has not gone as planned for either party, and the front office may look to recoup whatever value they can out of him.

Should the Browns look to the 2021 NFL Draft for their new wide receiver, here are five options who would be more than adequate replacements for the injured Beckham Jr. if he has indeed played his last down in the brown and orange.
