Stud: Donovan Peoples-Jones, Wide Receiver

Let the drama begin in Cleveland this week after a huge offensive game with OBJ, not on the field. I’m sure this week fans will be ready to get rid of him for a fourth or fifth-round pick. The real question…are those people wrong?

The Browns had six players with two-plus catches and none of those catches were bigger than the one with 11 seconds remaining by rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones. With just over a minute remaining the Bengals took a 3-point lead and most Browns fans were just hoping for overtimes.

But on second downs after a tremendous catch the play prior, Mayfield connected with Peoples-Jones for a 24-yard touchdown. The catch wasn’t as impressive as the throw, but because it was a game-winner there is no doubt the rookie deserves to make the list.

After an injury to JoJo Natson earlier in the season Peoples-Jones started making the game-day roster as a return specialist. With injuries to KhaDarel Hodge and Beckham, look for targets to only increase moving forward People-Jones.

The five-star recruit from the Detroit area neve quite lived up to expectation at the University of Michigan, but he is off to a great start for the Cleveland Browns in his rookie campaign. The rookie will certainly celebrate his first NFL touchdown tonight, as not many are game-winning catches.
