Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold predictions in Week 8 vs. Raiders

Bold predictions as the Cleveland Browns host the Las Vegas Raiders
Another win is in the books as the Cleveland Browns found a way to pull out a last-second victory against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7 to move to 5-2 on the year. It’s been a great start to the season for the Browns and Sunday might have been the most stressful and most invigorating game of the young campaign.
In a bit of a throwback to the days of the Kardiac Kids of the 1980s, the Browns found a way to pull this win out of thin air. Baker Mayfield led them on a last-minute drive and after hitting Rashard Higgins a couple of times, he found rookie wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones from 24-yards out for the game-winner.
For Mayfield, it was an insanely good game that saw him shake off an 0-for-5 start to complete every pass other than his spike on the final drive for the remainder of the game. He was dominant and looked like the 2018 version of himself that fans fell in love with during his rookie campaign.
And now, we have a rematch from that very season as Mayfield and the Browns will host the Raiders in Week 8. As many fans will remember, the Cleveland quarterback made his first career start against the Raiders — back when they were in Oakland. The Browns lost that game, but it was controversial as it appeared originally as if Nick Chubb had run a first down that would have clinched the game. The refs overturned that one and Cleveland ended up losing in overtime.
Now we look ahead to their Week 8 meeting with Las Vegas and make five bold predictions as the Browns look for their sixth win.
