1. Mayfield continues to shine

The biggest story from Week 7 was the drastic change in the performance of Baker Mayfield from the first quarter to what we saw for the next three. After throwing five incompletions and a pick in the opening quarter, Mayfield seemed to be in for a long night. He was struggling on his throws and some were wondering if his injured ribs were too much for him to be trying to push through.

Then in the second quarter, he got on a roll. Mayfield starting hitting his wideouts with ease and then when they got into the red zone, he fired it to his tight ends — two touchdowns landed in the hands of rookie Harrison Bryant and one went to David Njoku — and running back Kareem Hunt as well who caught one as well.

Mayfield completed 22-of-23 passes in the final 45 minutes and the only incompletion was when he spiked the ball to stop the clock. After that pass, he simply fired a 24-yard dart to Donovan Peoples-Jones to steal the win.

With all that being said, this is the kind of game that can really open things up for No. 6. He’s a player who thrives when he’s feeling confident and while some want to dismiss this game as “just the Bengals,” it was still a huge performance for Mayfield.

In this final prediction, Mayfield again tosses multiple touchdowns — with no picks — as he continues to prove he’s the future of the Cleveland Browns.
