Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know
Former wide receiver James Jones made a career catching passes from Aaron Rodgers and now he spends his time talking about the league on the NFL Network. Recently, he spoke on the Cleveland Browns and their upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jones said that the game is a must-win but not just for the Browns. He says that both teams need this game in order to get to where they want to go in 2020.
It might be a little early for ‘must-wins’ and for the 5-2 Browns, it’s not exactly as if a 5-3 record would end their season. Having said that, a win would be huge for them as they could end up needing a tie-breaker over the Raiders as each aims for a Wild Card spot this year.

James Jones: Raiders-Browns in Week 8 is a ‘must-win’ game for both teams — Yahoo Sports
"“NFL Network’s James Jones shares why the Week 8 matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Cleveland Browns is a must-win for both teams”"
It feels weird to be talking about the playoffs, but the Browns need to be thinking about that. They scored a win over Indianapolis that could help with positioning and they can do the same here. While ‘must-win’ might be a stretch, it would be a huge victory if they can pull it off.
"“I would say that’s not true at all,” Landry told 92.3 The Fan’s “Bull and Fox” show on Tuesday. “I think a lot of our offense has been solely based on having Odell on the field. And a lot of the things that have opened up for us as an offense has been because of the threat that he is. Now we’ve just got to find a way to adapt and adjust and make plays.”"
The stats are being thrown around showing how much better Baker Mayfield has performed when Odell Beckham, Jr. is not in the lineup. Surely, it doesn’t seem to be as simple as some make it out to be and Jarvis Landry can be counted among those who don’t think Cleveland is better off without No. 13.
"“Eyes creep towards Minneapolis, where the coaching staff might find intrigue in their former players: Harrison Smith, 31, and Anthony Harris, 29. Smith is under contract through 2021, but the Browns could cut him without incurring any dead cap space. Harris is playing on the franchise tag.”"
Edwards does say each player would come at a premium price in a trade but head coach Kevin Stefanski knows each player well. He also knows that Andrew Sendejo has been struggling, which is why Edwards believes Smith or Harris would be options.
