Scouting Report. Penn State. ShakaToney. player. Pick Analysis. EDGE. 4. 806

Olivier Vernon is as good as gone after this season, and the Browns need to find a pass-rushing Robin to Myles Garrett’s Batman. They could easily go after someone in free agency, and that someone could even be Jadeveon Clowney, whom the Browns made multiple runs at this past offseason. Even if a splash signing happens, the depth at EDGE needs to be improved, and Shaka Toney does exactly that. He finished with a solid 12.6 percent pressure rate in 2019, and totaled five pressures and two sacks in his 2020 debut against the Indiana Hoosiers. Toney doesn’t have the elite athletic upside of his rushing mate Jayson Oweh, but he could excel in the right role at the next level.

S. TCU. TrevonMoehrig. 872. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 4. player

With Ronnie Harrison playing very well and Grant Delpit returning from injury, the Browns can afford to wait a bit before adding a safety in the draft. Trevon Moehrig has good size at 6-2 202 pounds and has plenty of experience at both safety spots. He earned an elite 91.9 coverage grade in 2019, which is not easy to do in the pass-happy Big 12. Moehrig would add more versatility to the Cleveland secondary, which is always welcome. He could easily start as the team’s third safety as a rookie.
