No. 2: When on the field, Harrison has been solid

Yes, the Browns still need secondary help, and I am all for the front office looking to add help at the safety position, even so much help that they replace some of these guys and take snaps from our current guys. But, in a secondary and defense full of darkness, Ronnie Harrison has been a bit of light.

The one big thing that has been bugging me with Harrison this season is dropped interceptions, ones that could have been returned for six as well. Against the Raiders, Harrison made some nice plays, but again had another opportunity for a big interception that he let slip through his hands.

Harrison only has one interception on the year, but could have at least three. Other than that, he’s all over the field. Making open-field tackles and having a nose for the football has been a pleasant surprise for this Browns defense that has been one of the leagues worst so far this season.

Harrison has four passes defended on the year to go with his one interception, and is currently one of the better-ranked safeties in the NFL.

Again, it would still be smart for the Browns make as many defensive moves as they can before the deadline and get some help, because they need all the help they can get. Two names in the secondary that have attracted some love that I would enjoy the Browns entertaining would be Pierre Desir and Anthony Harris, or even a Jabrill Peppers reunion.
