Odell Beckham Jr. – B+

Beckham played just six games this season (not counting the seventh where he played one snap) before suffering a torn ACL. It was a devastating injury because he was finally 100% healthy for the first time since 2016, and it was evident on the field. He may have caught only 23 of 43 targets for 319 yards and three touchdowns, but he was clearly quicker and more sudden in his route running than he was in 2019. His game-sealing touchdown run against the Dallas Cowboys was the signal that one of the NFL’s most exciting talents was back, and it’s depressing that he was dealt another poor hand.

Mayfield and Beckham still weren’t on the same page this season. Just like in 2019, Beckham seemed to be open when Mayfield didn’t look his way, and covered when he was targeted. It’s unclear what exactly the issue is, but we unfortunately won’t get an answer this season.

Jarvis Landry – B

Landry’s 2020 campaign is looking more like his 2018 season, although he is hauling in 66% of his targets, which is his highest number since 2017 with the Miami Dolphins. He does have four drops this year, including some against the Las Vegas Raiders, one of which would have been a touchdown on a perfectly-thrown pass from Mayfield. Landry is dealing with a broken rib, and has always set an example of fighting through injuries, so it’s no surprise to see him still playing most offensive snaps.

He’s yet to catch a touchdown this season (although he has thrown one), and is averaging 1.4 fewer yards per catch than he did last year. Landry hasn’t been bad, but given his cap hit (which is higher than Beckham’s), you’d hope for more out of him, and that’s been the case since he’s been in Cleveland.
