The Cleveland Browns are at a pivotal point in the season

If Cleveland Browns fans knew their team could be 5-3 at the bye week to begin the 2020 season, they would have been thrilled. However, with that being the outcome, fans want more. I can’t say that I blame the fans for being somewhat disappointed in the team at the halfway point.

Cleveland does have a couple of nice wins vs. the Dallas Cowboys (before losing Dak Prescott) and the Indianapolis Colts. It’s also worth noting the Browns have already beaten their division rival the Cincinnati Bengals twice. The Bengals don’t have a tremendous record, but they are a team that has competed in every single one of their games this season.

The disappointment in 2020 has been two of the three losses. The Browns were destroyed by division rivals on the road in the first half of the season. No one expected Cleveland to go to Baltimore or Pittsburgh and win the game but losing by a combined 63 points in two games leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Now, the Browns find themselves fighting for a playoff spot with the Texans, Eagles, and Jaguars in the next three games. All are winnable, but all are tough opponents that could also beat the Browns if the team is not properly prepared.

First-year head coach Kevin Stefanski can begin to cement his legacy with three straight wins coming off his first bye week in 2020.  The entire team will be eager to hit the field once again, especially after a poor performance on both sides of the ball vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.  Here are four reasons why the Browns will take care of business at home vs. the Houston Texans.
