The final trade of this mock has the Browns moving back five spots in the third in exchange for a 2022 fifth-rounder. Nothing earth-shattering, but they add capital and still get their target.

Washington. LeviOnwuzurike. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. 3.85. 818

Cleveland’s defensive interior has played very poorly this season, and while Andrew Billings should be back in 2021, the futures of both Sheldon Richardson and Larry Ogunjobi are cloudy. The unit needs more young talent, and that’s where Onwuzurike comes in. He opted out of the 2020 season, so he, unfortunately, will not have the chance to build on his previous two campaigns. Onwuzurike has good size at 6-3 293 pounds and some of the best get-off you’ll ever see in DT.

Consistency is the issue for him right now, but few players have his combination of size and athletic gifts. That’s worth taking a chance on in the third round, especially with the extra mid-round selections the Browns have collected.

3.88. player. 818. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE/LB. Washington. JoeTryon

Another Washington opt-out, Joe Tryon would add immediate depth on the defensive line with the potential to develop into a starting-caliber player. Right now the Browns have Adrian Clayborn, Porter Gustin, Joe Jackson, and Curtis Weaver as backup EDGES for 2021. Jackson is an end-of-the-roster guy, Gustin has shown some things, Clayborn has been mostly ineffective, and while Weaver was an excellent collegiate player, he was waived by the Miami Dolphins after just a few practices. If he can terraform his body before arriving at camp next year, he could be a really nice player for this team, but that’s a big “if”.

In the meantime, the Browns decide to add a versatile athlete to their front-seven. Tryon totaled eight sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss in 2019, and has plenty of experience both with his hand in the dirt and standing up. Having good depth at EDGE is extremely important, and the Browns thought they’d have that this season. With Tryon in the fold, that would be a near certainty.
