Nick Chubb, Wyatt Teller to play for Browns on Sunday

Nick Chubb and Wyatt Teller will be back on the field in Week 10
There was some good news on Saturday as the Cleveland Browns found out that two of their key starters will return to the field on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Running back Nick Chubb, who has been out since suffering a knee injury in Week 4 was the big name but there’s another player who could be just as impactful for them.
Shortly before Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said Chubb would play, Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski let members of the media know that starting right guard Wyatt Teller would also be back in action, for the first time since Week 5 when he suffered a calf injury.
With both Teller and Chubb out of the lineup for the Browns, their running game hasn’t had the same impact. According to Thomas Moore of Dawgs by Nature, Cleveland went from the top rushing attack in the NFL at over 200 yards per game to No. 5 with roughly 150 yards per contest.
Cleveland does have the luxury of turning things over to Kareem Hunt, the 2017 NFL Rushing leader, but there’s no arguing the fact that Chubb and Hunt together were a dominant force.
Losing Chubb wasn’t the only reason for the drop in performance, and that was evident by the way they initially ran the ball when he went down. D’Ernest Johnson racked up 95 yards on 13 carries in relief of Chubb in Week 4.
Without Teller, however, the numbers started to dip and while they were still one of the best running games in the NFL, they didn’t have the same feel without that mauler in the run game. It’s a great time for them to get back on the field considering Houston is the worst run defense in the league, giving up 159.5 yards per game according to ESPN.
Cleveland enters the week at 5-3, fresh off their bye and they now have even more hope for a sixth win on the season.
