3 under-the-radar Eagles who could stand out vs Cleveland Browns this week

The Cleveland Browns have a must-win game this week against the Philadelphia Eagles, and while Cleveland is the better team on paper, this won’t be an easy challenge.

The Eagles have a better roster than their 3-5-1 record would indicate, and they are the NFC East leaders at the moment (although that isn’t saying much). This has the makings of a perfect trap game that could hand the Browns a devastating blow to their playoff hopes.

In order to emerge victoriously, Cleveland will have to make sure three under-the-radar players are held in check.

EDGE Josh Sweat

Brandon Graham is one of the best pass-rushers in the league, and Derek Barnett is a solid complement. Sweat is the team’s third EDGE, and having a player with his athleticism as a backup is a wonderful luxury to have. The Browns have protected Baker Mayfield very well this season, save for the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Eagles rank third in the NFL in sacks per game, and it’s because of a deep and talented line.

Cleveland may be without starting right tackle Jack Conklin, who has placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Backup swing lineman Chris Hubbard is also on the list with a positive test, so he’s unlikely to be cleared before Sunday. That leaves Kendall Lamm as the current RT. Sweat has already had a few big games this season, and the Browns will need to be wary of him this week.
