player. 872. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DB. TCU. TrevonMoehrig. 4.114

One of college football’s top safeties in 2019, Trevon Moehrig plays all over the field, logging starter-level snaps at free safety, strong safety, and slot corner. His versatility will make him highly desirable to NFL teams, especially the Browns. Defensive coordinator Joe Woods wants safeties who cover like corners, and with Cleveland still in need of a third starting safety, Moehrig presents a fantastic value in the fourth round. He’s got good size at 6-2 202 pounds and should test pretty well at the NFL Combine.

The Browns are far from set at safety, and will likely draft at least one, in addition to scouring free agency once again. Ronnie Harrison and Grant Delpit will be two starters in 2021; Moehrig could be the third. His teammate Ar’Darius Washington is also very good and another player that could be a Cleveland target.

LB. PeteWerner. player. 4.115. 812. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ohio State

If there’s one word to describe Pete Werner, it’s “good”. He’s a good athlete with good run instincts and a good feel for coverage. A three-year starter for the Buckeyes, his production is also solid. He stands 6-3 242 pounds, and while he may not be exceptionally athletic, he’s good enough for the NFL. The Browns lack talent at LB outside of Jacob Phillips, and while the team has attempted to marginalize the position, Cleveland’s LBs have been consistently picked on and exposed this season.

Werner would likely start at WILL with Phillips at MIKE, and those two would present a massive upgrade over what the Browns are trotting out right now.
