These young Cleveland Browns could be contributors in 2021

This season has been a lot of fun for fans of the Cleveland Browns. After several frustrating seasons where they seemed to be so close, but kept falling short, the Browns appear to have finally turned a corner. They enter Week 11 with a record of 6-3 and they have a couple of winnable games on the schedule coming up.

So not only have they had a great start to the season but they could very quickly be looking at their first winning record since 2007. That kind of futility has been hard to work through but the reards are finally coming.

The best news about their success is that this Cleveland roster isn’t just built for 2020. General manager Andrew Berry has done well adding talent for this year but has an eye on the future as well.

As proof of this, we are going to look at four players who have either not seen the field at all this year or haven’t seen it much, but will in 2021 and beyond.

4. Alex Taylor, Offensive Tackle

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent this offseason, Alex Taylor was waived early in the season due to an injury. He was brought back to the team in late October and is now part of their practice squad.

Listed at 6-foot-8 and 301-pounds, Taylor looks the part of an NFL left tackle. He has length to spare and is incredibly athletic for his size. The problem is, he’s new to the game and played against lower-level competition at South Carolina State.

Taylor could develop into a future starter and there’s a chance he could be a swing tackle next year.
