2. A.J. Green, Cornerback

When the 2020 NFL Draft ended, Oklahoma State cornerback A.J. Green was still sitting there without an NFL home. This was a bit confusing as the talented safety was surely worth a draft pick — as noted by Josh Keatley of Browns Wire.

"“The fact Green wasn’t drafted at all is mind-blowing as most analysts had him going in the early rounds. He has the obvious size coaches love at corner and his film showed speed that was perfectly fine for the next level. Green is a versatile player who can play either man or zone at a high level and can play physical at the line of scrimmage forcing receivers to have adjust almost immediately.” — Keatley, Browns Wire"

Cleveland’s front office agreed that Green was worth bringing in as they gave him a hefty signing bonus to lure him to the Browns. He currently sits on the practice squad which is also a bit confusing given the injuries they have had in the secondary.

To date, Green has just one defensive snap for the Browns but he should see more in the future. There’s a good chance both Terrance Mitchell and Kevin Johnson are playing elsewhere in 2021, which would open the door for Green to not only make the roster, but to make a splash as well.
