Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold predictions in Week 12 vs. Jacksonville
By Randy Gurzi
2. Ronnie Harrison play — and plays well
One of the best moves made this offseason by Andrew Berry has also been the most overlooked outside of Cleveland. After losing Grant Delpit, the first-year general manager made a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars to acquire Ronnie Harrison.
Berry surrendered just a late-round pick for Harrison’s rights and it proved to be quite the steal. In nine games, five as a starter, Harrison has 31 tackles, a sack, and a pick-six. He’s also been close on several other potential interceptions.
He’s been getting more playing time every week, but that could change as he was sidelined on Sunday after suffering a knee injury early in the game. The good news is, head coach Kevin Stefanski said he believes Harrison will be able to play when the Browns face his old team.
This prediction is really two parts, one being that Harrison will find a way to gut it out. While he was probably happy to be out of the tanking Jaguars’ plans, it still has to sting to know the team you gave your all for was willing to trade you for pennies on the dollar.
Harrison will clearly want to get out there on Sunday and prove to Jacksonville they made a mistake. That’s where the second part comes in. Not only will he play, but he will play very well. Look for Harrison to create at least one turnover and maybe even blow up a drive with a well-timed blitz.
