Week 12 Cleveland Browns playoff update
By Greg Newland
All you need to know for the Cleveland Browns playoff hopes
Heading into week 12, the Cleveland Browns currently would draw the 6th playoff spot and would travel to play the Buffalo Bills if the playoffs started today. After two 6-3 teams took losses on Sunday, the Browns playoff chances are starting to look better and better. The other good news, their schedule will allow them to control their own destiny.
Check out a week 12 playoff update below on a few teams that could get in the way of the Browns making their first playoff appearance since 2002.
Keep in mind, these updates assume the Steelers, Chiefs, Bills will win their division.
Las Vegas Raiders
The good news is the Raiders lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night and fall one game behind the Browns, but unfortunately, they do hold the tiebreaker with the ugly win in Cleveland just a few weeks ago.
The Raiders close the season with the Falcons, Jets, Colts, Chargers, Dolphins, and Broncos. While there is a good chance the Raiders could drop at one or two games there is a very real chance they win out and finish 12-4. This scenario would be tough for the Browns to stay ahead of them.
The Raiders defense struggled in the early weeks but has really stepped up as of late. Although they lost to the Chiefs on Sunday, they already beat them earlier in the season and played a tough game once again in week 11. Las Vegas looks to be real contenders in 2020.
