Justin Herbert and the Chargers pull off the upset in Buffalo
The Los Angeles Chargers travel across the country to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon and it would benefit the Browns playoff chances if the Chargers fly home with an upset victory.
Buffalo is in a serious letdown position after they lost in heartbreaking fashion last week. They had the Cardinals right where they wanted them before DeAndre Hopkins caught a miraculous Hail-Mary pass in the final seconds of the game. The Bills face a frisky Chargers team that could take advantage of a Bills team that has been down on its luck.
Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert has been lighting up the league every week from his first start in Week 2. He is currently the favorite to win rookie of the year following his record-setting performance against the Jets last week.
The Chargers have a poor record of 3-7 but it is not entirely indicative of their performance so far this season. All of their seven losses have been within one score. This is a matchup of two teams who have continued to find different ways to lose games in the most unique fashion.
Cleveland would benefit from Buffalo absorbing another loss. The Bills are currently only one game ahead of the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East. If they are passed by the Dolphins for the division title, they will be competing with the Browns for wild card slots. A Bills loss would help the Browns chances if that happens.
